ill take a guess and consider your post sarcastic, and after playin 8v8 for a couple of hours i saw way more creativity then there ever was in 6v6. iway? only faced one team. had 2 bspikes, didnt see any rit spike.
There was 9 international districts, most 6v6 ever had was like 4 (obviously NOT counting the double fame weekend) , and the last 3 were empty. Being guildless I caught up with a PuG and it formed faster then in 6v6 since party search was actually used and there was way more people.
anyway you dont need to QQ long about not being able to play whatever scrub 6v6 build you want, this god-send is only here for a weekend... or is it a week. meh w/e omg now i need to find 2 more ppl *cry*

agree with above poster
8 vs 8 is ftw. Did one run and was really happy to see so many different builds. 6 vs 6 was a joke when it came to creativity. And tbh, I was even happy to see IWAY again.

well, it's spikers ascent all over again.
6+2 all the way.
3-2-1-spikeway.
but the build-differences are vast: 6 eles, 6 rits, 6 necs... amazing!
i predict: after this week, 6vs6 will stay.

So far I've seen 90% of teams running, assassin spikes with assists from elementalists, invoke lightning/lightning hammer spike, rit spike, nightmare weapon spike, and blood spike. Then you have 5% of teams running some other kind of gimmick that isn't spike, and finaly the remaning 5% running balanced builds.
Can anyone say 3...2...1...gay?

PuG HA is alive once again.
Wait for the rusty iwayers to remove their "rust".
no creativity? 8vs8 got lots of "utility" now. go use the utility skills to counter builds, plx.

8v8 fails just as hard as it used to.
I've heard just as many 8v8 supporters shouting out about "utility" as well, but surprise surprise the vast bulk of the teams in 8v8 HA are right back to the same IGAY and shitspike that used to run rampant. It would be charitable to call it a "prediction" that people would just use the 2 additional slots to pack in some more gimmicky crap. It's just history repeating itself.
I'm not about to wade into the gimmick/IWAY/bspike vs. balanced debate. IWAY and bspike are a shit that needs wiping up, and there's no two ways about that. Playing against this garbage isn't fun when you see it 98% of the time. Why do people play it so much? Well, because it works.
I'm no scrub, at the end of the day, winning is what matters. However playing in a skilless, repetitive environment at the cost of the game's integrity (a game I in general happen to enjoy) is unacceptable. Support 6v6.

Hi Jessyi, I'm 6v6 and my name is zergway and spiritspam, there will always be gimmick builds, 12vs12,10vs10,8vs8,6vs6,69vs69, doesn't matter.

no matter 8v8 or 6v6, will always have gimmicks. I don't know what to say to your 6v6ers. There is no clear reason that 8v8 is better than 6v6 nor does it need any explanation. It is a simple fact that 8v8 ha is more fun for most people. That's good enough. Sooner or later people will quit gw, and there will be less and less people playing ha. But I can assure you that more people will play 8v8 than 6v6.

keep 8v8
remove all these game modes in halls/courtyard
make the altars their original times (4 mins on broken, courtyard, halls)
keep out scarred
if anet does that in the future, i'll be a happy man

Wow, I bow to your superior logic and critical thinking ability, though I think it was your eloquence that really got through to me. Thank you kind sir for showing me the light.

I've played about 20 matches so far...and have seen Iway everytime on Underworld, and a mixture of bloodspike and iway on just about every other map.
Toss in a mindless e/mo spamming party, an overpowered rit spike and you have the new 8vs8.
Bring back regular altar matches, and drop this juvenile kill count bullshit.

Duh, of course there is going to be MORE spikes and iway in the new HA 8v8. A group doesn't have to bring an interrupter anymore. It's all about kill count.
